our native place is Lalgudi and my grandfather was headmaster of board high school in Lalgudi. My mother has seen young LGJ with kudumi in class where her cousins were learning vocal. 16 year old LGJ played at my parents’ wedding in 1946. My other grandfather was also a school teacher in Tanjore district. Who knows your mother may remember my grandfather’s name : D. Rangaswamy Iyer. LGJ was his student
